JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT

The Sr. Analytics Engineer will support existing planning and reporting systems, prepare business relevant information, and reduce time to insight by leading technical activities that enable information capture, business intelligence and analytics competency. In this role, you will ensure teams have the data needed to make timely, accurate and actionable insights by investing in the core capabilities of data management, data engineering and key decision support applications that consume data. You will be a key partner between business needs and data engineering and will deliver the final information product including, KPI’s and dashboards that enable business value and drive optimization. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop key planning and reporting functionality to ensure that users can perform key planning activities and review the end results.
  • Build / enhance datasets and prepare data to meet specific reporting and analytic needs.
  • Build data solutions to enable automated and self-service data consumption.
  • Model, design, develop, test, and implement complex backend and front-end structures to meet business visualization, reporting and analytic requirements.
  • Evaluate the performance of processes, services and outcomes and recommend performance improvement.
  • Partner collaboratively with data engineers on complex infrastructure projects and advocate for and emphasize the business value of applications and offer mentorship and technical solutions to solve business problems.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience in insights / analytics or related areas (Ex: SQL, Python, Power BI, KNIME, Tableau, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • English proficiency
  • Confirmed skills in building visualizations and dashboards that document key findings to drive future optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to collect, organize, analyze, interpret, and disseminate significant amount of information with attention to detail and accuracy including the ability to present analysis and recommend specific actions to be taken, clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex analytical requirements and findings to a broader audience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with Reporting and visualization tools (Ex: Power Bi, Tableau, Microsoft SSRS, etc.)
  • Experience with other analytic tools (Ex: Microsoft SSAS, SSIS, KNIME, Alteryx, SQL, Python, etc.)
  • Confirmed skills of enabling data content for reporting or analytics solutions
  • Confirmed hands-on experience working with large data stores, providing insights / analytics or related areas
  • Experience in owning problem-solving end to end
  • Flexibility, detail-orientated, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
